Classic Army P90 Sportline Quality Report Pt. 1

This is the first part of the Q-Report on the Classic Army P90 Sport Line Tri Rail with upgraded metal receiver.

Spartan Imports sent us the upgraded receiver to give us a taste of what might be seen in the Proline version of the CA P90.

Overall I liked what I saw, and the metal receiver certainly makes a nice upgrade. Although, the metal receiver produces no performance boost, it does seem to provide a more sturdy platform upon which to mount optics and other add ons.

The fit and finish was average with a noticeable seem running through the middle of the gun. The seem caused discomfort and chaffing so I dulled the edges with a razor blade. After this minor alteration, the unit has been quite comfortable.

The magazine does suffer from jams however, and that is the weakest point in the design in my opinion. The issue did seem to improve marginally with use, so it does seem possible that a "break in period" may exist.

Still, a decent mid-cap mag will probably solve the problem completely.

Many thanks to Spartan Imports for sending us this test model.
